Slogan: Nurturing young minds for generations to come!

SYNOPSIS:

The Team AAGAHI strives to make an impact in society to the concept of awareness among people who lack basic knowledge about social values, norms, ethics, and responsibility towards their society as a citizen of Pakistan. We, as a team of four members, aim to fulfill this gap that has been highlighted by many successful social activists and play our part as responsible yet committed nationals as well as citizens of Pakistan. We aim to target young kids with ages ranging from 5 to 12 years and teach them the basic values, norms, ethics, manners, hygiene, and cleanliness. We also aim to bridge the gap that exists between their formal education and their practical life and for that we plan to do science activities and plantation drives with them. Team AAGAHI needs your support for this cause.

VISION & MISSION STATEMENT:

Team AAGAHI Vision statement:

“We strive to nurture young minds, impart basic values among children in Pakistan and rise as a disciplined nation”

Team AAGAHI Mission statement:

“We will equip young souls with food for thought which nurtures their minds by planning activities and improves the lives now and for the generations to come. As a result, these young aspirants will become a source of change for their people, their surroundings, their community, and ultimately their Nation. We Rise by lifting others!”

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

In Pakistan, we have seen children roaming aimlessly on roads with poor hygienic habits and cleanliness practices. We have seen children who get their schooling from government institutions and end up with zero knowledge about manners, etiquette, and social values. We have seen children cramming books but struggling to implement that knowledge in daily life. But unfortunately, only a handful of social workers and human rights activists have taken action and there’s a lot more to be done in order to address this social issue.

ACTION PLAN:

We as newbie social workers and volunteers plan to achieve this goal through proper planning achievable and executable through SMART Goals. We at first decided to reach out to our seniors, alumni, professors, and mentors for guidance. 5. How will we collect funds to make goodie bags?

STRATEGIES TO OPT:

Strategies to teach young fresh minds with the activities of daily living to incorporate a better sense of basic values are stated below:

1. Imitation: Children usually do what they see, they follow the footsteps of their elders and act accordingly. We plan to conduct hygiene & cleanliness and Manners and etiquettes activities through demonstration.

2. Communication: Verbal instructions will be given to kids while conducting science projects with frequent reminders to do exactly what they are watching.

METHODS & TECHNIQUES TO BE FOLLOWED :

Methods that can be used to conduct our activities include the following methods,

Method No: 1 Stimulus Control Procedures:

What kind of stimuli induces what kind of response and behavior? E.g., to prompt kids to wash their hands, a prompt could be dirty hands after cleaning activity.

Techniques involved: Use of pictures, Video Modeling, Tactile Prompts.

Method No: 2 Chaining & Task Analysis:

Breaking down complex tasks into simple steps can help simplify the learning process. E.g., Growing a plant can be broken down into activities like taking a pot, defining a suitable place, collect a jar of water and dig mud to plant seeds.

Techniques involved: Use of activity schedules.

EVALUATION CRITERION:

Children will be evaluated with the help of daily activities check card. we’ll try to let them develop a habit of doing those activities daily and mark a tick in respective boxes. this will help us to analyze where they practice or not.

Self-evaluation cards!

MARKETING STRATEGY:

Marketing strategy has been broken down into simpler steps stated below:

1.We plan to create social media presence on different social networking sites such as Facebook, Linked In, and Instagram.

2. We also aim to spread the work through posters, videos, and brochures defining the purpose of our cause.

3. We will be approaching many NGO’s, and orphan homes to present our idea and help us in funding as well as activities that are to be conducted among kids for the betterment of society.

4. Official Facebook groups, can serve as a good source to market our idea and collect funds. Permission letter provided by Amal Academy will be uploaded and shown to people who need any kind of proof if they have any doubts.

FUNDRAISING:

For funds collection, we will approach our social circle, our friends, our family, and our professors. We also plan to set a donation box at nearby shops to collect funds. Our slogan to collect funds from multiple people belonging to any class of our society revolves around this 150 Rs/- Per kid idea. 150 is such an affordable amount that we can collect from our friends and family to make a pouch and serve humanity through the best possible ways we can.
